Light energy targets the pigment within actively growing hair follicles. The energy is converted into heat, affecting the follicle and reducing its ability to produce new hair.
Because hair grows in different cycles, multiple treatments are required to reach follicles during their active growth stage.
-
Laser hair removal works best on hair that contains visible pigment. Grey, white, very light blonde and some red hair may not respond effectively.
Your skin tone, hair colour, treatment area, medications and recent sun exposure will be assessed before beginning.
-
Shave the treatment area before your appointment as directed
Do not wax, tweeze or remove the hair from the root between treatments
Avoid tanning and self-tanning products before treatment
Arrive with clean skin and no products on the treatment area
Tell Erin about medications or products that may cause light sensitivity
-
You may feel warmth or a quick snapping sensation as the applicator moves across the skin. SharpLight’s cooling technology helps keep the treatment more comfortable.
Temporary redness, warmth or small bumps around the follicles may occur afterward and usually settle.
-
Most people require a series of approximately six to eight treatments. The timing between appointments depends on the treatment area and its natural hair-growth cycle.
Occasional maintenance treatments may be needed because hormonal changes and other factors can cause new hair growth.
-
Single treatments and six-session or eight-session packages are available. Pricing depends on the area or combination of areas selected.

Specialized light energy targets acne-related bacteria and activity within the sebaceous glands. This can help reduce active breakouts and support clearer-looking skin.

Tattoo Removal
Gradually fade unwanted tattoo ink with a treatment plan based on its colour, size, depth and location.
-

-
Complete removal cannot be guaranteed. Some tattoos fade significantly, while others retain portions of pigment.
The expected result depends on the ink colours, depth, density, tattoo age, location, skin tone and whether it is a cover-up.
-
Tattoo removal commonly requires multiple sessions. SharpLight recommends that treatments be spaced approximately eight weeks apart to allow the skin to heal and the body to process fragmented pigment.
Six to eight treatments are common, but some tattoos require more.

The area must be allowed to heal fully before another session.
